Camilla Gloria Baptiste

We celebrate the life of Camilla Gloria Baptiste fondly known as “Caryl,” or “Queen Sheba” of Bowers Lane, Goodwill who resided at Newtown. 

She was called home on Saturday 3rd October 2020 at the D.C.F Hospital.

She was the wife of Gordon Baptiste.

 Mother of Nacha, Sabah, Nayah, Eugenia, Kenny, Iyahna, Juan, Vivian and Ja-Juana.

She is survived by 18 grandchildren; Jair, Shenice, Omara, Henysha, Safiyah, Amara, Amyrah, Alahna, Keshanny, Kezael, Kemael, Jahquan, Desean, Kemai, Abigail, Tamar, Kezia and Yana. 

Sisters: Laura & Brenda Lambert

Brothers:  Emmanuel, Egbert, John, Johnny, Joseph and Ian Lambert. 

God daughters; Martha and Augustine, Quentisha Esther St. Luce Rabib

Aunty; Olivette Nicholas.

Nieces: Christel, Chrisia, Jenny, Ariah,, Jehanne, Shermina, Shernika, Raynaya, Martyl, Martin, Lisa, Joanna

Nephews: Brahim, Alva, Alston, Kester, Brandon, Mickel, Mario, Mariano, Ti-Mano, Ethan, Marvin, Jaheim.

Sisters-in-law: Rosemary Lambert, Jasmine Lambert, Hannah Lambert, Marianne Lambert

Numerous cousins including Dr Cleona Peters

Family and Friends of the Fond Cole, Bowers Lane, Morne Prosper, Giraudel, Eggleston. Newtown and Gutter Communities. 

Past Teachers and Students of the Montessori Centre of Dominica, and Sheba Care Nursery & Preschool and Roseau Primary Pre School which she founded.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at The Goodwill Christian Union Church on the 16th of October 2020. Viewing is at 2:30pm and service at 3:00pm, followed by interment at The Roseau Public Cemetery. 

The Management & Staff of Demers extend condolences to all bereaved.
